Matthew Hannum, CFA^®, CFP^®

I am a Principal at Sterling Financial Group, where my primary responsibilities include financial planning, investment management, and portfolio management. With over 23 years of experience in the financial services industry, I am deeply committed to helping clients achieve their financial goals and secure their futures.

Before embarking on my career, I obtained a bachelor's degree in finance and international business from Pennsylvania State University. I am proud to hold both the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) and Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designations, which enable me to provide expert, personalized advice to our clients.

I am motivated by the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of my clients and their families. I believe that the greatest value I can provide is personalized guidance that helps clients achieve their financial goals and attain security.

I currently reside in Sparta, New Jersey, with my wife, Kate, and our four children. Outside of work, I am actively involved in several organizations. I serve as a Trustee for the Newton Medical Center Foundation Board and am a member and past President of the Newton chapter of Rotary International Board. Additionally, I am involved with Knoll Communities in Sparta, NJ, which provides affordable housing and support to seniors. I am also a member of the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce and the Financial Planning Association. In my free time, I enjoy coaching my kids' sports teams, skiing, and boating.
