Ross Weiner Ph.D., CFP®

Ross Weiner, Ph.D., CFP® is a Senior Associate at Sterling.  He has been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner since 2008.  He works closely with clients to develop tailored financial plans designed to fit their specific needs. He is also actively involved in the development, maintenance, and monitoring of client accounts.  Ross is responsible for monitoring the firm's compliance and regulatory activity.  He also helps the firm develop its financial portfolio models and overall economic outlook.

Prior to joining Sterling in 2007, Ross was a tenured Assistant Professor of Economics at The City College of New York, having joined the faculty there in 1999. He has been a consultant to the University of Transkei, South Africa, the South African Government, and a lecturer at the University of Massachusetts. His research experience includes work on the impact of transportation infrastructure on businesses in New Jersey and the economic impact of publicly funded and constructed sports arena and stadiums on local and regional economic growth and development.

Ross is an active member of the Financial Planning Association of New Jersey and has served on several of its committees.  He has also been a featured speaker at at forums for students interested in careers in financial planning and financial services.

Ross holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.  He enjoys guitar, visiting national parks, and coaching/volunteering in his daughter’s youth sports leagues.
